Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a contract to Scott Derr Painting Company, LLC (16-043-B) to paint Jersey Barriers located at 1200 South of Bay Area Blvd. at Grissom Rd., 2800 South of Bay Area Blvd. at Grissom Rd. and FM 518 approximately 700 East of FM 518 at Landing in an amount not to exceed $72,800 (Deputy City Manager)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize a contract to Scott Derr Painting Company, LLC to paint Jersey Barriers (Bridge) at 1200 South of Bay Area Blvd. at Grissom Rd., 2800 South of Bay Area Blvd. at Grissom Rd. and FM 518 approximately 700 East of FM 518 at Landing in an amount not to exceed $72,800.
The purpose of this project is to repaint 40,000 square feet Jersey Barriers, paint 12 League City Logos on barriers, and provide 16 days of traffic control in these areas (See Exhibit D). Sealed bids for the project were received on August 25, 2016. Scott Derr Painting, LLC submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $72,800 (bid tabulation attached).
