Consider and take action on a resolution accepting a Utility Easement conveyance from West Oak Development, Ltd. associated with the development of proposed Westwood, Section 3 (Deputy City Manager)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will approve the acceptance of a Utility Easement conveyance from West Oak Development, Ltd. associated with the development of proposed Westwood, Section 3.
West Oak Development, Ltd. is in the process of platting Westwood, Section 3. As part of the City’s platting requirements, it is normal for a 16-foot wide utility easement to be centered upon the rear property lines of lots that back up to each other. In this instance, the property lying west of the proposed Westwood, Section 3 is planned to be platted later, per their Master Plan. An 8-foot utility easement will be dedicated by plat along the westerly line of Westwood, Section 3. The City’s approval of this resolution and acceptance of the proposed utility easement conveyance will provide for the total 16-foot utility easement centered along the westerly line of Section 3. When the abutting property is platted later, the easement accepted by this resolution will be depicted on such plat.
