Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an amendment to the contract with Meador Staffing Services, Inc. to extend the contract term through September 30, 2018 and increase the total compensation to an amount not to exceed $170,000 (Assistant City Manager)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the Interim City Manager to execute an amendment with Meador Staffing, Inc. for temporary staffing services to extend the contract term through September 30, 2018 and increase the total compensation to an amount not to exceed $170,000.
The Purchasing department issued a Request for Proposals (RFP 16-038) for this service on May 18, 2016. Three (3) responses were received on June 14, 2016. The evaluation team selected Meador Staffing based upon stated criteria in the RFP, which included corporate experience and capacity, qualifications, references, and pricing. A contract was executed on September 8, 2016 for an amount not to exceed $45,000 through September 30, 2017. There has been an increase in the need for temporary staffing services, causing the need to increase the contract amount from $45,000 to $85,000 per fiscal year.
Staff have been pleased with the service provided by Meador Staffing and also recommend extending this agreement through September 30, 2018.
