Consider and take action on a resolution appointing authorized signatories for Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds awarded to League City by the Texas General Land Office (Assistant City Manager)
Background:
The City of League City was awarded Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds for infrastructure improvements needed as a result of Hurricane Ike. As part of the CDBG Disaster Recovery Program, the City of League City is required to pass a resolution designating up to four individuals to serve as depository and authorized signatories. On January 13, 2015 the City Council approved Resolution 2015-01 authorizing signatories. This proposed resolution will update that authorization. The resolution will allow for any of the four individuals to sign State of Texas Purchase Vouchers and/or request for payment forms for the program.
Staff recommended that City Council select the following individuals to serve as signatories:
1. John Baumgartner, City Manager
2. Rebecca Underhill, Assistant City Manager/Director of Finance
3. Ogden 'Bo' Bass, Assistant City Manager
4. Allena Portis, Assistant Director of Finance
