Consider and take action on a resolution approving a two-year contract with Envirodyne Laboratories, Inc., for the City’s wastewater laboratory testing services in an amount not to exceed $120,000 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will renew an award for laboratory testing services related to the City’s wastewater in an amount not to exceed $120,000 to Envirodyne Laboratories Inc. for a period of two (2) year(s), from July 8, 2017 to July 7, 2019.
On June 9, 2015 League City released ITB #15-033 for analytical services to meet the federal standards as well as all TCEQ requirements for sampling and testing pertaining to the City's Wastewater Monitoring Program. Three proposals were received and Envirodyne was chosen as the lowest cost qualified bidder. The original vendor agreement term was from July 8, 2015 to July 7, 2017 with the option to renew for two (2) successive one (1) year renewal options. This renewal awards both of the successive one (1) year periods in one agreement using the same competitive bidding rates . Envirodyne has agreed to a renewal and to hold prices for the new contract period, July 8, 2017 to July 7, 2019.
This service provides laboratory testing of the City’s wastewater treatment facilities, mandated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Samples are collected on a daily basis throughout the year.
