Title

Presentation regarding the attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people to stop, drop, and roll (Fire Marshal)

Background:

The League City Fire Marshal’s Office and League City Volunteer Fire Department is currently developing a “Stop, Drop, and Roll” fire prevention program, which will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record during fire prevention week. The previous world record was set by the Indianapolis Fire Department on October 13, 2011 with 1719 participants. On Saturday, October 14, 2017  at the CCISD Challenger Columbia Stadium the Guinness World record attempt will be performed directly after the Clear Springs and Dickinson High School football game at approximately 3:00 p.m. We are anticipating and hoping for a new League City world record set on this date by having at least 2500 to 3000 individuals that will take part in this event.  Also, the event will have an educational venue to teach parents, children, and individuals the importance of a Stop Drop, and Roll fire prevention method, all while having fun setting a new Guinness world record.
