Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an Interlocal Agreement with the Texas Forest Service for the acquisition of a 2 ½ ton high-water vehicle (Fire Chief)
Background:
The Texas Forest Service is a clearing house for de-commission military surplus vehicles that could assist public safety agencies in the accomplishment of their missions. These vehicles are distributed on a first-come-first-served basis as they are available.
The Texas Forest Service has a 2 ½ ton personnel carrier (high-water vehicle) available and is willing to assign it to the League City Fire Department at no cost to the City with the signing of this interlocal agreement. The only stipulation is that the city provide all maintenance for the vehicle and repaint the vehicle within 180 days of receipt of the vehicle.
CONTRACT ORIGINATION: This action originated with League City and approved by the City Attorney’s Office
