Consider and take action on a resolution amending Resolution No. 2015-02 by designating the Chief of Police as the person responsible for executing all grant documents pertaining to Criminal Justice Division funding for the League City Department Crime Victim Assistance Program, Grant# 2506905 (Director of Budget and Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will designate Chief Michael Kramm as the Authorized Official for the League City Department Crime Victim Assistance Program, Grant# 2506905. As the Authorized Official, Chief Kramm will be responsible for certifying changes made to or be able to terminate the grant on behalf of the City of League City.
Council approved Resolution 2015-02 on January 13, 2015 in support of the application for a grant from the Office of the Governor of Texas Criminal Justice Division for the League City Department Crime Victim Assistance Program. Grant# 2506905 was awarded for the performance period September 1, 2015 through September 30, 2017. The State extended the performance period to October 31, 2017 due to Hurricane Harvey to allow entities to complete performance measures which may have been interrupted by Hurricane activities.
The previously approved resolution designated Assistant City Manager/Finance Director Rebecca Underhill as the acting executor point of contact. The grant contributors have requested the city to designate a specific point of contact authorized to execute all documents necessary to complete the transaction, including any documents required for the acceptance and administration of the grant.
