Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the purchase of Police Department uniforms and duty gear with Galls through BuyBoard (Contract #507-16) in an amount not to exceed $85,000 (Chief of Police)
Background:
Approval of this item will allow the Police Department to purchase uniforms and duty gear with Galls through Buyboard for FiscalYear 2018. The uniforms and gear are for all Police Department employees, which includes Sworn personnel, Detention Officers, Telecommunicators, Records, Office and Command Staff.
In October 2015, the City began utilizing Galls through the BuyBoard contract. The Police Department will purchase uniforms and duty gear as needed due to wear, or the hiring of new officers. The Police Department is projected to spend approximately $85,000 this fiscal year.
