Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an agreement with Hahn Equipment Co., Inc. for the purchase of one (1) 185HP FLYGT electric submersible sewage pump for the Dallas Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant for a total amount not to exceed $115,037 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the purchase of one (1) FLYGT 12-inch electric submersible sewage pump, complete with 185 H.P., 460-volt, 3 phase, 60 hertz motor, FM rated, with 50’ power cables for the Dallas Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant (DSWWTP).
The new pump will replace one of the four existing 185 H.P. pumps, which is 21-years old and has surpassed its expected service life. This replacement activity is part of the approved FY 2018 Capital Improvement Plan.
Improved design features will increase operations and performance efficiencies, along with providing the reliability needed to assist in the prevention of sanitary sewer overflows. The DSWWTP lift station collects and conveys approximately 80 percent of the City’s daily wastewater flow.
