Title
Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an agreement with WestNet, Inc. for the First-In Fire Station Alerting System for all 5 Fire Stations and EMS headquarters in an amount not to exceed $300,279.64 (Fire Chief & Director of Information Technology)

Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize an agreement with WestNet, Inc. for the First-In Fire Station Alerting System for all 5 Fire Stations and EMS headquarters in an amount not to exceed $300,279.64 The agreement includes the installation, equipment and software for an IP (Internet Protocol) station alerting directly from the dispatching software. This product will speed up the dispatch process times, station notification process and improve firefighter/medic comprehension through computer generated automated voice. The system and software will have the ability of color coded lights and text message dorm remotes in each bedroom. This system will give the City credit on our next ISO rating as it allows for redundancy for alerting the stations and firefighters.

The proposal includes the installation of Fire Station Alerting at the following locations:

Fire Station 1 601 2nd St
Fire Station 2 2120 Hobbs Rd
Fire Station 3 3575 E FM 518
Fire Station 4 175 N Bay Area Blvd
Fire Station 5 2898 Bay Creek
