Consider and take action on a resolution accepting a Sidewalk Easement conveyance from United S&S Group, LLC. associated with the proposed development of Lot 1, Preliminary/Final Plat of Calder Plaza commercial development (Director of Engineering)

 

Background:

If approved, this resolution will approve the acceptance of a Sidewalk Easement conveyance from United S&S Group, LLC. associated with the proposed development of Lot 1, Preliminary/Final Plat of Calder Plaza commercial development.

 

United S&S Group, LLC. has platted the Lot 1 of the Calder Plaza commercial property and has developed construction plans for the commercial properties in Lot 1. The roadway east of this development is called Old Calder Road and has a 50’ ROW. As per the City’s guidelines, sidewalks are required along all roadways. United S&S Group, LLC is proposing to convey an 8’ wide sidewalk easement along Old Calder Road so that a 5’ wide public sidewalk can be constructed. The City won’t accept the sidewalk as public without an easement conveyed to the City. The Developer is also resurfacing Old Calder Road as part of their commercial development.
