Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with HR Green, Inc. for the Asphalt Streets Rehabilitation Project Package 4 (CIP# RE 1704D) in an amount not to exceed $155,032.00 (Director of Budget and Project Management).
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of a professional services agreement with HR Green to perform the engineering, design, and construction phase services related to package 4 of the Asphalt Street Rehabilitation Project (RE 1704D).
The purpose of this project is to perform road base repairs and asphalt resurfacing as part of an annual infrastructure reinvestment program. Package 4 consists of North Michigan Avenue and Colorado Avenue in the Historic District. Package 4 also consists of the following streets southeast of East Main Street, northeast of Dickinson Avenue and west of Texas Avenue: David Avenue, Illinois Avenue, South Iowa Avenue, South Kansas Avenue; as well as East Galveston Street, East Wilkins Street, East Saunders Street, West Wilkins Street, Interurban Street, and West Saunders Street southeast of East Main Street and southwest of Dickinson Avenue. The approximate length of mill and overlay operations is approximately 17,853 linear feet. Preliminary construction cost for package 4 is $1,813,377.
HR Green has submitted a proposal to perform the engineering design and construction phase services not to exceed $155,031.10, which includes the following:
1. Plans Preparation $ 68,025.00
2. Bid-Phase Services $ 2,956.00
3. Construction Phase Services $ 4,977.00
4. Project Management $ 2,393.00
5. Subconsulting $ 76,032.00
6. Direct Expenses $ 648.10
Total $155,031.10
