Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an interlocal agreement with Galveston County to fund the Dickinson Avenue Reconstruction Project (CIP# RE1702C) (Director of Budget and Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize funding for the Dickinson Avenue Reconstruction Project (CIP# RE1702C) with an Interlocal Agreement (in substantially the same form as Exhibit A) between Galveston County and the City, which will cover the construction cost, materials testing and a work change directive budget for Dickinson Avenue.
This is the first of a series of agreements addressing the investment of the 2018 Galveston County G.O. Bond proceeds of $10,480,000 in League City. Staff believes the Galveston County portion of the Dickinson Avenue Reconstruction Project will cost approximately $6,000,000 and the remaining funds will be addressed in a subsequent agreement(s) for the League City Parkway Projects.
Staff anticipates bringing forward the Dickinson Avenue Reconstruction Project bid award for Council consideration in November.
