Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing the purchase of eight (8) replacement vehicles and related equipment through a state contract for an amount not to exceed $244,962 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the purchase of eight (8) replacement vehicles and related equipment to meet the City’s current and future growth and operations demand.
The approved FY2019 budget includes funding in the amount of $262,000 to replace eight (8) replacement vehicles from the Capital Replacement Fund for a total cost of $244,962.
The total cost for the replacement of existing vehicles total $244,662 plus a $300 GoodBuy purchasing fee. All vehicles will be purchased from Silsbee Ford with public safety vehicles being equipped from Lone Star Equipment and Deerskin Manufacturing utilizing GoodBuy pricing. Total funding for the replacement vehicles and related equipment will be $244,962.
