Presentation of the City of League City's Citizen University Certificates (Mayor Hallisey)
Background:
During the last 12 weeks, 16 citizens have attended classes to learn about the various departments in the City of League City.
Each week, the group met for a two-hour session with city staff from each department learning about various city services, issues, and understanding how citizens play a crucial role in leading League City into the future. League City’s Citizens University is a key program used to encourage our community to become active participants in their municipal government and is a good opportunity for them to familiarize themselves with the processes and structures that comprise the city’s government.
This is the fifth Citizen University class held and staff plans to continue offering this course on a semi-annual basis. We’d like to congratulate these 16 students for their involvement and dedication during this program.
