Title

Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an agreement with Progressive Commercial Aquatics for the Walker Street Pool Re-Plaster Project in the amount not to exceed $99,507.25, and establishing a work change directive budget in the amount of $9,950 (Director of Parks and Cultural Services)

Background:

Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of the construction contract to Progressive Commercial Aquatics in the amount of $99,507.25 and authorize a work change directive budget of $9,950, for a total construction budget of $109,457.25

The municipal pool at 450 West Walker was last re-plastered in 2004, with a bond coat application added in 2012. The current renovations will include a complete re-plaster, renewal and replacement of all tiles, expansion joint mastic replacement between deck and coping, and chemical start-up

The work is planned for February through March to avoid interruption of programming and swim team use in April 2019. This item is budgeted in the 2019 CIP under Park Facilities Renewal for $130,000

Three (3) sealed bids were received on November 20, 2018. Progressive Commercial Aquatics was selected based on best value:  qualifications, experience, design and methodology, cost, and references
