Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing staff to reject the one bid received for RFP 19-EMS-010 EMS Medical Oxygen Supply and authorizing the Purchasing Department to advertise and proceed with a new bidding process (Fire Chief)
Background:
Approval of this item will reject all bids and allow staff to proceed with a new bidding process for medical oxygen supply. The bid proposal is for the medical oxygen supply used for patients being treated by the Emergency Medical Service department for injuries and illnesses
Only one bid was received and is $15,000.00 over budget. Staff agrees that this service should be rebid for additional competition of pricing
Our current medical oxygen supply contract was extended three months and will now expire March 31, 2019
