Consider and take action on a resolution accepting a blanket easement from Meadows of Bay Colony for the Bay Colony Community Trail Project (PK1802) (Director of Budget & Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this item will allow the City to formally accept an easement granted by Meadows of Bay Colony Homeowner’s Association as part of the Bay Colony Community Trail Project.
The referenced trail runs along sections of Cross Colony Drive in the Bay Colony Subdivision. This easement is needed because sections of this trail were placed outside of City's right-of-way to avoid utilities. The Meadows of Bay Colony Homeowner’s Association owns the property where portions of the trail are located and has agreed to convey an easement to the City in order to accommodate the maintenance, repair, and public use of a multi-use path on the property.
Staff recommends approval of this agenda item.
