Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with ARKK Engineers, LLC for design and construction phase services related to the waterline replacements in Glen Cove, Bayou Brae and Newport Subdivisions as part of the City’s Annual Waterline Replacement Project (WT1904) in an amount not to exceed $443,789.00 (Director of Budget and Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize funding for the professional services agreement with ARKK Engineers, LLC for design and construction phase services related to the waterline replacements in Glen Cove, Bayou Brae and Newport Subdivisions as part of the City’s Annual Waterline Replacement Project (WT1904). The annual project systematically replaces the City’s aging infrastructure. In this case, the waterlines in the above subdivisions are from the 1960’s. The subdivisions and the approximate footages and sizes of water lines to be replaced include:
- 11,800 linear feet of 8-inch waterlines in Newport Subdivision with an estimated construction cost of $1,062,000
- 6,000 linear feet of 8-inch waterlines in Bayou Brae Subdivision with an estimated construction cost of $549,000
- 18,500 linear feet of 8-inch waterlines in Glen Cove Subdivision with an estimated construction cost of $1,665,000
