Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an interlocal agreement with the members of the Dickinson Bayou Watershed Steering Committee for the implementation/creation of a watershed protection/management plan to improve, protect and meet water goals for the Dickinson Bayou Watershed in an amount not to exceed $6,241.08, of which $1,148.80 is the City of League City's portion (City Manager)
Background:
The Dickinson Bayou watershed lies between Houston and Galveston, Texas and encompasses a total area of 105 square miles. The watershed falls within Galveston and Brazoria Counties and includes portions of Alvin, Dickinson, Friendswood, Kemah, League City, Manvel, San Leon, Santa Fe and Texas City. The total population of the watershed is approximately 75,000.
The Dickinson Bayou Watershed Steering Committee is composed of local stake holders who are committed to improving, protecting and meeting water goals for the Dickinson Bayou Watershed. The total operating expenses for the Steering Committee are estimated to be $6,241.08 of which $1,1148.80 is the City of League City's portion.
CONTRACT ORIGINATION: Reviewed and approved by the City Attorney's Office.
