Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a construction agreement with Tucon, LLC for the Fire Training Room Expansion Project (RE1706) in an amount not to exceed $286,000 with a Work Change Directive Budget of $28,600 (Director of Budget and Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of the construction agreement to Tucon, LLC for the Fire Training Room Expansion Project and authorize a budget for Construction Work Change Directives.
This project consists of a new 945 square foot addition to the existing training room located on North Kansas Avenue behind the Dallas Salmon Wastewater Treatment Plant. Construction will include a new foundation for the addition, pre-engineered metal building, interior finishing, new mechanical system, updated electrical system, lighting and pavement striping.
Sealed bids for the project were received on June 11th at 2PM (Bid No. 19-CIP-016). Tucon, LLC was the low bidder in the amount of $286,000. Attached is the consultant’s letter of recommendation based on references and bid tabulation.
