Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing amendments to the professional services agreement with Huitt-Zollars Inc for the Downtown Redevelopment Project (ED1503), to include waterline improvements for the drainage facilities along Coryell Street, for a total amount of $56,440.00 (Director of Budget & Project Management)
Background:
If approved, this resolution will authorize a fourth amendment to the professional services agreement with Huitt-Zollars Inc for the Downtown Redevelopment Project (ED1503), to include waterline improvements in conjunction with the drainage improvements along Coryell Street, in the amount of $6,750. The third amendment for ROW acquisition services of 20 parcels along Main Street was approved by the City Manager in the amount of $49,690 on June 24, 2019. The fourth amendment, in the amount of $6,750, while within the $50,000 threshold of City Manager for approval, when added to the third amendment, totals $56,440 which requires City Council approval.
On May 11, 2016, Council approved a professional services agreement with Huitt-Zollars Inc for planning and design pertaining to Downtown Redevelopment Project in the amount of $895,400.00. On September 26, 2017, Council approved $97,130.00 to revise the conceptual design for League Park and add an additional public meeting/community outreach. On February 26, 2019, Council approved $62,960.00 to add services for the re-design of drainage facilities along Coryell Street. On June 24, 2019, the City Manager approved $49,690.00 for ROW acquisition services of 20 parcels along Main Street. The current contract totals $1,105,180.00.
This amendment provides professional services associated with preparing construction documents for approximately 760 linear feet of 8-inch water line replacement along Coryell Street, from Michigan Avenue to Kansas Avenue and across Coryell Street at Colorado Avenue, bid phase services, and construction phase services.
