Hold a public hearing on amendments to Chapter 102 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of League City, entitled “Subdivisions”, to require the establishment of Homeowner Associations in residential subdivisions and Business Owner Associations in commercial subdivisions (Director of Planning and Development)
Background:
A public hearing is required to consider the proposed text amendments to the Subdivision Ordinance.
Project Timeline:
March 12, 2019 - David Hoover, Director of Planning and Development, gave a presentation to City Council about upcoming ordinance amendments in a workshop.
June 25, 2019 - David Hoover, Director of Planning and Development, gave a second presentation to City Council concerning ordinance amendments in a workshop.
August 27, 2019 -City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing and consider the request on first reading.
Project Summary:
The proposed ordinance amendments will require the creation of associations that will establish covenants and restrictions over both residential and commercial subdivisions. A residential subdivision will only be subject to this requirement if five or more lots are established. Any subdivision of commercial land will be subject to this requirement.
