Title
Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with Sander Engineering Corp for the design and construction phase services related to the New Well and BPS League City Parkway Project (WT1910) in an amount not to exceed $465,000 (Director of Budget and Project Management)

Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize funding for the professional services agreement with Sander Engineering Corp for the design and construction phase services related to the installation of a new 1,500 gpm water well and booster pump station along League City Parkway near Westover.
This project is identified in the 2018 Water Master Plan and includes one 1500 gpm water well and one ground storage tank on approximately 2 acres on the west side. The project site is the south corner of the 16 acres in Westover Park which is planned for a future Library site or City park. The project generally consists of the construction of a new a well, pre-engineered mechanical building, 1 million-gallon GST, booster pumps and miscellaneous items such as site work, driveway, parking area and electrical work. Preliminary probable construction cost estimate is $5.3 million. The FY2018 Water Capital Recovery Fee update reflects 35% of total project cost is eligible for CRF funding. This project is necessary in order to provide the City with additional water capacity to sustain growth in the near future as the 20 MGD of capacity from SEWPP is secured and developed.
