Consider and take action on a resolution to ratify the submission of an application to the Wink to Webster Pipeline - First Responder Grant program for the purchase of radiological survey instruments and authorizing Assistant City Manager Michael Kramm to accept such a grant if awarded (Fire Chief)
Background:
The general purpose of this grant is to provide first responders within 30 miles of the Wink to Webster pipeline with equipment that will assist in dealing with any hazards that may arise within that area. The grant program will pay up to $10,000 per fire department making request. LCFD is requesting 2 RadEye B20-ER units at $1,646.40 apiece and 2 Ludlum Response Kits at $2,800.00 apiece for a total request of $8,892.80. There is no matching funds requirement.
