Presentation of the City of League City's Citizen University certificates (Mayor Hallisey)
Background:
League City launched Citizen University in 2015. The mission of the League City Citizen University is to familiarize the residents and business owners of League City with the purpose, process and structure of the city’s government and equip citizens to become active participants in municipal operations. Each session includes an interactive presentation from city staff on various city services, issues, and an understanding of how citizens play a crucial role in leading League City into the future. The City has held eight Citizen University sessions and now offers residents two opportunities to participate each year, with one session in the spring and one in the fall. This year, the Fall 2019 program was held over a 10-week period and 16 League City residents participated and have graduated with a better understanding of how League City works.
