Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with WSP USA, Inc. for the final engineering of the North Extension of Landing Blvd Project (ST1914) in the amount of $2,317,350.77 (Director of Budget & Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize a professional services agreement with WSP USA, Inc. to perform, or have subconsultants perform, engineering design services associated with the North Extension of Landing Blvd Project in an amount of $2,317,350.77.
On February 28, 2012, City Council approved the professional services agreement with WSP to perform Preliminary Engineering. The design work for that phase was completed in March 2019. The project received Environmental Clearance on August 14, 2019.
The City requested a proposal from WSP for the final engineering of this project. WSP submitted a proposal to provide such services for $2,317,350.77. TxDOT has reviewed and approved the scope.
WSP’s tasks and fees are outlines as follows:
Basic Services (including roadway, drainage and bridge design) $1.745.220.28
Surveying $137,137.00
Geotechnical $247,800.00
Land Acquisition Assistance (including trial representation) $83,375.00
Subconsultant Coordination $23,415.60
Construction Phase Services $74,882.36
Total, Not to Exceed Fee: $2,317,350.77

FUNDING
{X} Funds in the amount of $2,317,350.77 are available from Reinvestment Cash ($901,508) with expenses charged to ST1914 ST1914-PLAN DESIGN-DESIGN-RE CASH (50173300-56010) and Misc Capital Project Cash ($1,415,842.77) with expenses charged to ST1914-PLAN DESIGN-DESIGN-TS CASH (50153300-56010).
