Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with Surveying and Mapping, LLC for the 16-Inch Waterline from South Shore Harbor Booster Pump Station to FM2094 project (WT1909), in the amount of $24,000 (Director of Budget & Project Management)
Background:
On November 18, 2019, the City entered into an agreement with Surveying and Mapping, LLC. for surveying and subsurface utility engineering services for the 16-Inch Waterline from South Shore Harbor Booster Pump Station to FM2094 project (WT1909), in the amount of $34,945.63.
This amendment will allow for additional matting to provide support of heavy equipment performing subsurface exploration on soft-to-saturated surfaces. The additional matting was requested by the pipeline company whose easement the exploration will occur in as well as the need for the matting was validated during a site visit which confirmed very soft to saturated surface inside project area and access to the work areas. The proposed increase for this additional matting is in the amount of $24,000. This item is presented to City Council for approval since the amendment will adjust the total contract amount to over $50,000.
With approval of this amendment, the contract amount will be adjusted as follows:
Original Contract Amount $34,945.63
Amendment No. 1 $24,000.00
Adjusted Contract Amount $58,945.63
