Consider and take action on a resolution to form a Project Cost Subcommittee of the City Council (Council Member Dugie and Council Member Millican)
Background
Approval of this item would form a Project Cost Subcommittee of the City Council to review project costs and establish a better understanding of how the City obtains bids and selects vendors.
This subcommittee would work with staff and vendors (as appropriate) to study a few recent projects to identify what factors impact the end price to the city.
The goal would be to complete the evaluation in 3 to 6 months. The subcommittee would sunset in 12 months.
Proposed subcommittee members are Mr. Dugie, Mr. Millican, Mr. Tressler, and Mr. Long subject to the Mayor’s recommendation and Council’s affirmation.
