Background:
The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization, whose 5,000 plus professional economic development members retain and create high-quality jobs, promote economic well-being, provide a stable tax base, and improve the quality of life in their communities. The IEDC has received a grant from the Economic Development Administration to sponsor a volunteer team of economic development professionals, who are prepared to assist League City, Texas in enhancing its ability to withstand future economic recessions and natural disasters like Hurricane Harvey.
