Consider and take action on appointment of a representative to the Bay Area Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau (Mayor Hallisey)
Background:
Approval of this item will appoint Sarah Greer Osborne, Director of Communications and Media Relations, replacing previous staff member Bryan Roller.
On November 19, 2019, Council approved Resolution No. 2019-197 authorizing a contract with Bay Area Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau to assist in advertising, marketing, and promotion of tourism and conventions for League City. Each member city appoints three members to the board of directors, with one being the Mayor or a Council Member, one being a city staff member, and one being a hotelier.
Current members include Pat Hallisey, Mayor and Bridget Bear, South Shore Harbor Resort and Conference Center.
