Consider and take action authorizing Ordinance 2020-11 to amend chapter 10 of the code of ordinances of the City of League City, Texas entitled “Alcoholic Beverages” to update various provisions to be compliant with state law (City Attorney)

Background:
As part of its ongoing project to review and update League City’s Code of Ordinances, the City Attorney's office identified several sections of Chapter 10, entitled "Alcoholic Beverages," that need to be updated for clarity and to be compliant with state law.
The recommended changes are:
- an amendment to clarify the distance measurement between schools and alcohol businesses located in multi-tenant shopping centers;
- the deletion of the hours of consumption section since that provision was also repealed in state law; and
- the deletion of the hours of consumption for private clubs since that provision was also repealed in state law.
