Title

Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an agreement with GameTime for the replacement of the Pour In Play surfacing of the Boundless Playground as part of the Parks Facilities Renewal Project PK1803E in an amount not to exceed $101,028.37 (Director of Parks and Cultural Services)

Background:

The approval of this item will replace the existing Pour in Play (PIP) surface of the Boundless Playground of 5,777 SF area. The PIP rubber surface provides a highly accessible surface allowing play for children and adults of all abilities. The replacement schedule will coincide with and be completed during the renovation of League Park.

The two-layer system is comprised of a wear layer and a rubber attenuation layer. The original surface system was approved by City Council with the installation of the Boundless Playground in June 2010 for the amount of $75,090.10. The system can be repaired with a 1.5" re-top projected to last 3.5 - 6 years at $69,798.65. A total two-layer system replacement is projected to last up to 7.5 - 10 years at $101,028.37. The current proposal also includes demolition disposal of existing PIP surfacing and redress of the base.
