Title
Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a construction contract with T&C Construction, Ltd for the Bay Colony MUD 14-15 Lift Station Improvements (WW1206), in an amount not to exceed $1,646,125, and authorizing an additional $164,613 for a construction work change directive budget (Director of Budget & Project Management)

Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of the construction contract for Bay Colony MUD 14-15 Lift Station improvements in the amount of $1,646,125 and authorize funds for a construction work change directive budget in the amount of $164,613.

The project includes the expansion of the Bay Colony lift station from 1,850 gallons per minute to 3,958 gallons per minute, based on findings from the League City’s 2018 Wastewater Master Plan. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, rehabilitation of the existing 10-feet diameter wet well, demolition of existing mechanical equipment, piping, valves, electrical equipment, and construction of a new concrete top slab.

There were four (4) bids for this project that were received on May 13, 2020 (Bid No. 20-CIP-007). T&C Construction, Ltd submitted the effective lowest bid, based on the A+B bidding system, in the amount of $1,646,125 and for a construction time of 330 calendar days. Attached is the City's engineering consultant's recommendation of award, along with the bid tabulation.

This project is anticipated to take 330 calendar days from the notice to proceed.
