Administer Oath of Office to new League City Volunteer Firefighter Academy graduates (Mayor Hallisey)
Background:
On July 14, 2020 the League City Volunteer Fire Department graduated sixteen new members from the 2020 cadet fire academy. These new cadets went through a four-month training academy to prepare them to be firefighters and volunteers within the City of League City. This training qualifies the cadets to be certified at the Firefighter I level though the State Firefighters and Fire Marshals Association of Texas. The academy consists of classroom and hands-on skills training in all aspects of emergency services. The Fire Chief requests the Mayor administer the Oath of Office to these new graduates and welcome them to the department.
