Background:
Each year, the Texas Forest Service offers a grant to pay for death and dismemberment insurance for volunteer firefighters through the Volunteer Firefighter Insurance Service (VFIS). This year’s grant request is for $9,161 to supply coverage for 162 members of the League City Volunteer Fire Department for fiscal year 2020.
