Background:
This is an ordinance authorizing the annexation of approximately 1270 feet of unpaved Pin Oak Drive Right of Way from Geisler Gully to the end of Pin Oak Drive Right of Way in League City, Galveston County, Texas. A map of the proposed area to be annexed is attached.

On or about April 8, 2019, League City, Dickinson and Galveston County entered into an Interlocal Agreement regarding the renovation of Pin Oak Drive. Galveston County agreed to provide funding and manage the renovations if League City and Dickinson would agree to annex their respective portions of Pin Oak Drive.

As required by Section 43.063 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City Council held two public hearing prior to this ordinance. Section 43.063 also requires that the adoption of the annexation ordinance occur no more than 40 days after the first public hearing and not less than 20 days after the second public hearing.

Project Timeline:
April 8, 2019 - City enters into an Interlocal Agreement with City of Dickinson and Galveston County requiring League City to annex parts of Pin Oak Drive.
June 16, 2020 - City publishes proposed service plan for area on City website.
June 23, 2020 - City updates notice with service plan for area on City website to reference two public hearings before City Council...
