Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an amendment of the operating agreement with the Butler Longhorn Museum to incorporate the use of the Ghirardi House located at 1220 Coryell, League City, TX (Mayor Hallisey and Council Member Gripon)
Background:
Approval of this item will amend the existing Butler Longhorn Museum operating agreement to include the Ghirardi House.
The amended agreement will allow the Butler Longhorn Museum (BLM) to operate both the BLM and the Ghirardi House. The amended agreement replicates the same terms and conditions from the existing agreement (i.e. Insurance requirements, financial statements, etc.).
Included as attachments are documents from BLM consisting of Letter of Request and proposed Usage of the Ghirardi House.
Base compensation- remains the same at $72,000 divided out in equal quarterly installments
Termination date - remains the same at September 30, 2021
BLM reports- to include separate financial quarterly reports for the Ghirardi House
Utilities- city responsible for costs incurred for the operating of the Ghirardi House during the terms of the agreement
Janitorial service- provided by BLM in compliance with city code requirements
Improvements- any improvements must be submitted by BLM and receive City’s written approval prior to construction
