Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing an amendment to the professional services agreement with PGAL, Inc. for the Council Chambers Remodel Project (FM2002) to perform additional engineering design services, in an amount of $13,300 (Director of Budget & Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this item authorizes an amendment with PGAL, Inc. for the Council Chambers Remodel Project (FM2002) in an amount of $13,300.
On February 14, 2020, the City Manager authorized the award of the design contract to PGAL, Inc. for the Council Chamber Remodel (FM2002) in an amount of $45,050, plus an additional $1,500 for administrative expenses.
This request is for additional design services based on additional scope request by the City. The additional scope of work includes design and creating a bid package for new rooftop air handling units, restroom renovations in the Library, creation of a doorway and window from the council chamber into the children’s workroom, and moving the audiovisual workstation into it. It also includes the design of new millwork in the children’s workroom.
This amendment requires Council approval as the original agreement and amendment total $59,850 in whole.
With approval of this amendment, the contract amount will be adjusted as follows:
Original Contract Amount $46,550
Proposed Amendment $13,300
Adjusted Contract Amount $59,850
