Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a one-year renewal agreement with Semper Striping, LLC for roadway markings on-call in an amount not to exceed $130,000 (Director of Public Works)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize a one-year renewal agreement with Semper Striping, LLC for installation of roadway markings on-call from October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021 in an amount not to exceed $130,000 with one (1) additional one-year renewal option remaining.
On October 9, 2018, City Council approved a one-year agreement with Semper Striping, LLC Bid #18-048 for roadway markings on-call from October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019 in an amount not to exceed $110,000 with the option to renew for three (3) additional one-year periods. The City Manager approved a first amendment to the agreement on July 17, 2019 at staff’s request for an additional $20,000, for a total not to exceed amount of $130,000, to complete roadway markings at three additional locations (Brookport Dr. from FM646 to Big League Dreams, Lighthouse Blvd from Marina Bay to Palm Cove Ln, and Tuscan Lakes Blvd from SH96 to Austin Blvd). On September 24, 2019, City Council approved a one-year renewal from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020 in an amount not to exceed $130,000.
The quantities are just an estimate used to approximate the total work required. The work will be paid based on specific work orders and the unit prices for completion of work. The work orders will be developed throughout the year based on needs. Each individual work order may include multiple locations. Proposed FY21 work orders will include, but are not limited to, the remarking of: Hobbs Rd (518 to 96), South Shore Blvd (2094 to 518), Palomino Ln (518 to the North), Maple Leaf Dr (518 to League City Pkwy), Coryell St (Wisconsin to 270), Meadow Pkwy (518 to Austin), Bay Ridge Dr (League City Pkwy to Bay Crest), Mar Bella Pkwy (League City Pkwy to Isla Vista Ln...
