Hold a Public Hearing on the City of League City’s FY2021 Annual Budget (Director of Budget and Project Management)

Background:

Pursuant to state law, a public hearing must be held on the City’s Annual Budget prior to its adoption.

City Council passed agenda item 11A at the July 14th City Council meeting calling for a public hearing on the budget for August 11th and August 25th.  The August 25^th Council meeting was postponed to September 1 due to Hurricane Laura.  Due to the notification period required by Section 102.006 of the Local Government Code, the public hearing was reset for the September 8^th meeting.

The attached ad ran in the Galveston County Daily News on Friday, August 28, 2020, 11 days prior to the hearing.  State law requires the notice to run at least 10 days but not more than 30 days before the hearing.
