Consider and take action on a resolution supporting TxDOT improvement projects for landscaping in the medians of various TxDOT roads in League City (Executive Director of Development Services)
Background:
Staff has been working with TxDOT on several possible projects in League City for FY 2021 that include landscaping in the medians of various TxDOT roads in League City including but not limited to SH 96, FM 646 and FM 518. Some of the projects will be paid for by TxDOT out of construction funds and some will be paid through the TxDOT Green Ribbon Program. Entryway signage would be paid for from a Keep Texas Beautiful Governor's Community Achievement Award.
All project construction and management costs would be 100% State funded with no match required. Design and specifications would be required from the City of League City. Projects would be bid, awarded and managed by TxDOT and include a two-year maintenance guarantee by TxDOT. After two years the City would be responsible for the maintenance.
