Council approved on first reading by a vote of 6-2-0 on October 27, 2020.

 

Background:

Approval of this item will authorize a utility agreement with Wesley West Minerals, Ltd., on behalf of Galveston County Municipal Utility District No. 81.

 

MUD 81 is proposed to be created for the purposes of furnishing water, sanitary sewer, drainage, park and recreational, and road facilities and services to the area within its boundaries. The District will contain approximately 260.58 acres of land. It will include residential and commercial development as well as a regional detention pond. It is located in the southwest portion of League City just south of FM 517 and east of Dickinson Bayou.
