Title

Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing Change Order #1 with Lucas Construction Co, for the Walker Street Upgrades Project (ST1803) in an amount not to exceed $80,230 (Director of Budget and Project Management)

 

Background:

Approval of this resolution will authorize Change Order #1 with Lucas Construction Co, for Phase 2 of the Walker Street Upgrades Project (ST1803) in an amount not to exceed $80,230. This Change Order is requested to ratify increasing the contract amount to cover scope increase requested by the TIRZ #2 board. Immediately following the bid award for this project, a new development within the TIRZ #2 boundary was approved. To help facilitate entry/exit into this future development, additional turn lanes were added to the scope of this project in the location of the Jag Hollow.

 

This project is fully funded by TIRZ #2.

 

To follow this construction, Phase 3 will install three new signals (Kesslers Crossing, Victory Lakes and the Lowes intersection) and modify the existing signal at FM646.
