Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with ARKK Engineers, LLC for the design and construction phase services related to the Meadowbend 16-inch Force Main Replacement Project (WW1801F) in an amount not to exceed $288,950 (Director of Budget and Project Management)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize funding for a professional services agreement with ARKK Engineers, LLC for the design and construction phase services related to the Meadowbend 16-inch Force Main Replacement Project (WW1801F).
The scope of this project is to replace approximately 7,300 linear feet of existing force main along FM518 (between Louisiana Avenue and South Shore Blvd), south along South Shore Boulevard to Meadowbend Lift Station site. The new proposed 16-inch force main alignment will start at Meadowbend lift station site and will run west along the City’s drainage ditch towards Meadow Parkway to FM518, and then west along FM518 to the discharge manhole near Louisiana Avenue.
Project design also includes:
• Traffic Control Plan
• SWPPP
• Tree Protection Plan
Design is proposed at 270 days. Construction is programmed in the CIP in FY23 as part of the Annual Sanitary Sewer Rehab at an estimated construction cost of $2,255,000.
