Background:
For more than 40 years, the American Water Works Association and its members have celebrated National Drinking Water Week - a unique opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they serve to join together in recognizing the vital role water plays in our daily lives.
Each year, the City of League City formally recognizes this week and coordinates water conservation and reuse public outreach events to coincide. This year, National Drinking Water Week is celebrated from May 2-8, 2021. This year’s theme is “There When You Need It” Activities associated with Drinking Water Week includes the 10th Annual Poster and Essay Contest, toddler story time at the Helen Hall Library, rain barrel sales, and informational via digital and live public water conservation events.
