Consider and take action on a resolution for scheduling a Public Hearing on August 24, 2021, to consider amending the Capital Recovery Fees for Roadway Facilities previously adopted in January 2019; directing the City Secretary to publish notice of said public hearing and directing the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee to consider and make a recommendation on the Capital Recovery Fee Report (Director of Engineering)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the City Secretary to publish Notice of a Public Hearing to consider amending the Capital Recovery Fees for Roadway Facilities established in January 2019 and direct the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee (CIAC) to consider and make recommendations on the Capital Recovery Fee Report.
As outlined in Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code, a City, wishing to consider the adoption of impact fees, must establish a Public Hearing date within 60 days of approving this resolution. Staff wishes to hold this public hearing on August 24, 2021, as part of the scheduled City Council session. A Public Notice for this Hearing would need to be published no later than July 22, 2021.
