Consider and take action on a resolution authorizing a professional services agreement with Clark Condon for design and construction phase services related to the Wayfinding Signage Phase 2 Project (PK1701B) in an amount not to exceed $76,940 (Executive Director of Capital Projects)
Background:
Approval of this resolution will authorize the award of a professional services agreement with Clark Condon to perform the design and construction phase services related to the Wayfinding Signage Project Phase 2 (PK1701B).
The purpose of this project is to continue Phase 2 of the Wayfinding Signage program to install 53 kiosk blade, directional, and park interpretive signs following the design from Phase 1. The scope of Phase 2 will include 29 new signs within the Fauna and Flowers Trails, 20 signs within the Coastal Creatures Trails as well as install an additional 4 signs within the Phase 1 Trails. A maximum of 10 interpretative “Type D” signs shall also be included.
Clark Condon has submitted a proposal to perform the design and construction phase services not to exceed $79,940, which includes the following:
1. Design Phase $ 43,940
2. Bid-Phase Services $ 3,500
3. Construction Phase Services $ 12,000
4. Interpretative Graphics $ 13,500
5. Additional Meeting $ 1,500
6. Miscellaneous Expenses $ 2,500
Total $ 76,940
Design is proposed at 360 days.
