Hold a Public Hearing on the City of League City’s FY2023 Proposed Annual Budget (Executive Director of Finance & Budget)
Background:
Pursuant to state law, a public hearing must be held on the City’s Annual Budget prior to its adoption.
City Council passed agenda item 11A at the July 12th City Council meeting calling for a public hearing on the budget for August 9th and August 23rd. The August 23rd public hearing on the budget fulfills the requirement by Section 102.006 of the Local Government Code.
The attached ad ran in the Galveston County Daily News on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, 15 days prior to the hearing. State law requires the notice to run at least 10 days but not more than 30 days before the hearing.
